Homelessness Q & A session with Bangabandhu Primary School pupils

London, 19 December 2019: A Question and answer session on Homelessness was held in presence of more than 150 students of Key Stage-2 of Bangabandhu Primary School in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets. Deputy Mayor of the Council and Cabinet Housing Affairs, Mr Sirajul Islam was present as the chief guest. During the program, the students raised various questions to the deputy mayor about borough’s homelessness.
The Question & Answer session was held at the school auditorium on Wednesday, December 11. This was the first event of the Homelessness Outright Project of Bangabandhu Primary School. At the event, students asked the Deputy Mayor, why Homelessness is on the rise? Can we help homeless residents financially? At the time, Deputy Mayor informed the students about how borough’s homeless people are being served.
Shahana Tasnim, Bangabandhu Primary school’s Key Stage-2 leader was present along with teachers Rubina Begum, Maliha Chowdhury, Mujibur Rahman and Afzal Mia. News press release
